On tour or as part of its residencies, VIDALA regularly collaborates with:

 

  • educational establishments (primary schools, middle schools, high schools),

  • universities and colleges,

  • conservatories and schools of music and dance,

  • libraries and media libraries,

  • art house cinemas,

  • museums and places linked to the memory of workers, miners and peasants,

  • literary and poetic festivals and events,

  • socio-cultural and socio-educational structures,

  • social landlords,

  • hospitals, nursing homes and specialized establishments,

  • detention centers,

  • companies and their works councils

  • ...

Through its musical and poetic form, its historical character and its universal and current social message, the "Nueva Cancion" is the subject for developing numerous meetings, educational or cultural actions , thus weaving numerous bridges with other artistic disciplines - documentary film, dance, plastic arts, literature (illustrated children's albums, novels) up to the discovery of South American gastronomy. Everything is a pretext for travel, discovery and exchange.

As part of its educational activities with schools , VIDALA offers artistic and educational courses adapted to all levels, including;

  • Work around reading, writing and visual arts,

  • Musical and rhythmic discovery,

  • Discovery of the cultures and countries of Latin America

  • Practical workshops around singing and body polyrhythms

  • Cross-disciplinary approach (history, geography, economics, linguistics, music, visual arts, photography, literature).

  • Sensitive painting workshops or so-called automatic painting.

With the Conservatories and Music Schools , VIDALA develops:

  • Workshops and masterclasses (singing, music, percussion)

  • Discovering the history of the "Nueva Cancion"

  • Collective musical work around the repertoire,

  • Joint projects between student musicians and dancers

An artistic and educational file containing numerous bibliographical, cinematographic, etc. references is available in the "Download" area of the site.

With the help of Sophie Bonnin, artist and close collaborator, an opening is offered on the plastic arts in the form of workshops, all ages, all audiences: "Painting, engaged popular art" around Chilean painting and the Nueva Cancion" or "self-portrait in the style of Frida Kahlo". Sophie is also developing an important work of awareness raising on image and video .
